FAQs
How does the OPC integration work?
SeQent’s OPC solution uses the FirstPAGE Alarm Manager Gateway to subscribe to OPC DA, HDA, or UA tags and access data in a read-only manner. The data can then be evaluated for any condition that may indicate an exception. These exceptions can then drive alarms and notifications across the organization.
Which OPC servers are supported?
Any OPC DA, HDA or UA compliant OPC servers are supported. Common servers such as Kepware, RSLinx and CODESYS are supported.
What is required to configure the integration?
Connect SeQent to any OPC compliant system (SCADA, DCS or PLC), select and subscribe to the relevant data, build notification workflows in SeQent’s Alert Manager and dispatch notifications to maintenance or quality teams.
